Our Islands possess a wealth of natural treasures, but none shine so bright as our magnificent coral reefs. These reefs provide a home for a stunning array of aquatic life, including many species that can't be found anywhere else on the planet. At the Hawaii Coral Reef Initiative (HCRI), we want to make sure that these irreplacable reefs are still around for our children and grand-children to enjoy.

With this goal in mind, HCRI works together with state and federal agencies, along with community groups, to identify the problems facing our reefs, and come up with creative ways to deal with them.
